About the Role

Are you a reliable operator ready to step up, lead by example, and keep things moving? We are looking for a hands-on Leading Hand to join our busy waste management facility.

This is a stable, permanent role where you’ll balance operating heavy machinery with coordinating a small, hard-working team on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead from the Front: Direct daily yard activities, ensuring the team stays safe and on task.

• Machinery Operation: Safely operate a variety of yellow goods and heavy vehicles.

• Traffic & Load Management: Oversee incoming/outgoing waste and coordinate floor traffic.

• Safety First: Ensure all site safety protocols and paperwork are kept up to scratch.

What You Need to Bring

To be successful in this role, you must hold the following current tickets and licenses:

• HR Driver’s License (Minimum requirement)

• Forklift Ticket (LF) (Minimum requirement)

• Front-End Loader Ticket (LL)

• Skidsteer Ticket (LS)
